Western Carolina Men's Golf Garners School's First-ever Team At-Large Bid to NCAA Regional5/6/2008 - On the strength of a strong regular season and a third-place finish at the annual Southern Conference Championship at the Country Club of South Carolina, the Western Carolina men's golf team today garnered the school's first-ever, at-large bid to the NCAA tournament. WCU will join SoCon-champion, Chattanooga, in the East Regional which the Mocs are hosting at the Council Fire Golf Club May 15-17.
