Western Carolina Women's Tennis Victorious over Palm Beach Atlantic, 5-2

HILTON HEAD, S.C. - Western Carolina women's tennis (1-7) recorded its first win of the season with a 5-2 victory over Palm Beach Atlantic Monday.

The Catamounts opened the match by sweeping the doubles point against PBA. Western Carolina then notched wins at No. one, three, four and five singles.

Tessie Salame got her second win in three matches at No. 1 singles. She swept Palm Beach Atlantic's Lina Rubiano 6-0, 6-0. Mariana Jane also shutout Krishna Domenech at No. 4 singles 6-0, 6-0.

Western Carolina will take a few days off and return to action on March 12 hosting Brevard at 3 p.m. at the Catamount Sports Complex.
