CULLOWHEE, N.C. - Western Carolina women's tennis (3-7) won its third straight match with a 6-1 victory over Brevard College (3-3) Wednesday at Catamount Sports Complex.

In doubles action, the Catamounts took the doubles point as they swept the Tornados in all three bouts. Western Carolina won the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles matches 8-1, however the No. 2 doubles match match was hotly contested as Kayley Duval and Sara Douglas pushed of Brevard the WCU team of Amanda Massey and Mariona Jane to the end before falling 8-5.

Western Carolina returns to action Thursday hosting instate rival UNC Asheville. The match is set for 3 p.m. at the Catamount Athletic Complex.
