GREENSBORO, N.C. - Western Carolina volleyball closed out the spring portion of its season with a beach volleyball tournament held at UNC Greensboro on Saturday.

There were 22 teams in the tournament. The Catamounts had three two-person teams in the tournament. Sophomores Katie Hennessey and Liz Rondone were paired together and got a first round bye. Sophomore Amanda Kerr and Jelena Jakovljevic were also paired together. Due to injuries on the team, graduate assistant Ellen Johnson was called off the bench to play with junior Liz McLauchlin.

Hennessey and Rondone ended the tournament ninth while the duos of Kerr and Jakovljevic and Johnson and McLauchlin tied for 13th.
